Steve Jobs

While it seems everyone is talking about the death of Steve Jobs, I want to pay tribute as well. Of course, there are never enough words to say with something like this, but I will try. First, because when I announced his death after my night class, four of my roommates had no idea who he was. It is amazing to me that in today’s world of iPods, iPads, iMacs, and other iGadgets that some people don’t know the name Steve Jobs. In fact, one of my roommates who owns a MacBook did not know who he was.

He was an innovator. He thought differently than most of the world. He had an idea and it changed the world.

Steve Jobs changed the world. Imagine a world without mp3 players, without smart phones, without tablet computers, etc. While these things may have been eventually created, Steve Jobs and his company paved the way for all of these technologies. Even if you don’t own an iAnything, Mr. Jobs has changed the world you live in. Most people can only dream of the sort of influence he has had on the entire world.

Thank you, Steve Jobs, although I have read you were not a Christian, I hope the press had it all wrong.
